This was our first time there. We are on vacation in the Poconos and decided to give Murph’s a try. We were not disappointed! The food was beyond fantastic. I tried things I’ve never had before and was so happy I was brave enough to do it. I had the Irish croquettes and Bangs and Mash. Absolutely spectacular! My husband had the Guinness beef stew and mussels and loved them both. He especially liked that his stew was served in a little pot. The only thing that could possibly top our meal, was the staff. Our server was wonderful, knowledgeable, professional. He was also sweet and patient as could be. We plan on stopping one more one on our way home. Murph’s Hideaway is our new favorite spot here. If I could give the 10 stars I would.

Convenient location. Service and atmosphere were great. Very cozy and homey feeling. Weekly events. Special drinks, daily specials. The food did not taste as expected. It tasted good, just not for my palate preference-that includes the sides and entree.

Just moved permanently to Arrowhead, and my son surprised me with a visit, we went to Murph's Hideaway. From the time we walked in the door til we left it was an enjoyable experience. John or server was very attentive, the menu is very large. I had the messy mother burger, would definitely recommend it.

Excellent hearty food! Recommended! We visited Murph’s Hideaway for a 12 people family dinner while staying in Poconos in July 2024. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We liked it so much that in just two days came back with a smaller crew and enjoyed it again :) They also had a good local beer on tap - Broken Heels Hazy IPA. We didn’t catch live music but saw the band setting up. First time the service was a bit rough and for some reason they couldn’t arrange us a single/combined table though I called in advance and made a reservation for 12 people. Second time our waitress was Carol and we got a great service. All was smooth and nice. We highly recommend Murph’s Hideaway if you are in the area and looking for an excellent American bar/grill food. Food ordered Flat Basket wings - these are tiny but tender and delicious with really little fat. We found them better than regular bigger wings with much more fat. 12 Wings - regular buffalo wings. Tiny flats are better. Home Made Chili - excellent. Crock French Onion soup - I didn't expect much from a French Onion soup ordered in American grill restaurant. But this was surprisingly good! Key Largo Shrimp - good. Primavera flat bread - certainly pass on this one. The dough was pretty thick, far from "flat", and the toppings tasted like canned veggies. Cheesesteak Quesadilla and Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla - both were absolutely delicious! Fresh, juicy, with generous amount of filling. Philly Cheesesteak - good as it should be. Shepherd Pie - this one is restaurant's special and it was excellent according to few people in our party. I wish I could try it but it had pork which I don't eat. Burgers: Hawaiian Burger, Jack Burger, Cajun Bleu Burger - all were absolutely great! Generous 1/2 lbs they were, perfectly done as ordered (I had medium-rare), juicy, sizzling, and overall perfect! I want Murph’s Hideaway's burger again!

Irish specialties did not disappoint! Some of the best we've had on this side of the pond. The bourbon raspberry wings were killer and the pretzel reminded me of the ones from Lancaster. The shepherd's pie was chock-full of lamb, beef, and pork. The Guiness beef stew was quite flavorful with the bottom of the crock filled with creamy mashed potatoes. Those bangers were plump and juicy, too. Yum!

Fantastic service and fantastic food. great Irish-pub type atmosphere. I had a prime rib dinner, and the portions were very generous. The dessert tray is eye-popping. The triple chocolate dessert was to die for. Will definitely come again.

Great lil pub that does actually appreciate Irish roots. Shepherds pie is actually a clean combinatation of meats which makes a big difference. Buff mac and cheese great. Jen and Lisa are also cool wait staff. Kitchens good but the ladies do good work. I watched one aerate her Guinness draft pour before pouring it for a customer. Cool spot!
